Romans 5:8But God (O)demonstrates (P)His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, (Q)Christ died for us.
9Much more then, having now been justified (R)by His blood, we shall be saved (S)from the wrath of God through Him.
10For if while we were (T)enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved (U)by His life. (from the greek verb zao: meaning
to live, breathe, be among the living (not lifeless, not dead)
to enjoy real life
to have true life and worthy of the name
active, blessed, endless in the kingdom of God
to live i.e. pass life, in the manner of the living and acting
of mortals or character
living water, having vital power in itself and exerting the same upon the soul
metaph. to be in full vigour
to be fresh, strong, efficient,
as adj. active, powerful, efficacious - and to think we receive "true life" and all that comes with it at salvation!!!)
And there's more:
11(V)And not only this, but we also exult(boast or glory) in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received (W)the reconciliation. (nasb)
Romans6: 8Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,
9Because we know that Christ (the Anointed One), being once raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has power over Him.
10For by the death He died, He died to sin [ending His relation to it] once for all; and the life that He lives, He is living to God [in unbroken fellowship with Him].
11Even so consider yourselves also dead to sin and your relation to it broken, but alive to God [living in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus. (amp)
Your old life has no power over you- as a believer, you are secured in Him- unbroken fellowship. Sin makes it feel like it's broken but He never leaves or turns His face- You are totally forgiven! The wrath of God was poured out on Jesus so He CAN have unbroken fellowship with us!
"God gave His life FOR us in order to give His life TO us, in order that He might live His life THROUGH us!"
